“You don’t have to have much, you just have to be willing.”
I wish I could quote who told me the quote above that changed my outlook on giving. Whether it’s giving of time or something of monetary. You just have to be willing. You see, God doesn’t need our “muchness” he just needs our “willingness” to care for those around us. To reach out in love to someone or for something. All He desires from us is a willing heart to carry out His work for His Kingdom.
And that’s all Together For Good asks for as well. Willingness. The story of the family below is just one of the many stories where they just needed someone who was willing to help. They didn’t need anything spectacular. Just a place outside the frigid cold.

JANUARY COLD
In Minnesota, there's nothing extraordinary about a below zero temperature in January. Most of us just sigh, bundle up and go about our day. But for one mother, the frigid January temperatures were terrifying as she faced the reality that she had nowhere to stay the night.
She frantically searched for a shelter with openings but hit dead end after dead end. Some had beds for adults but none had room for more children. By late afternoon, mom was out of options.
Someone gave her the Together for Good hotline number and she called as a last resort. A caring team member took down her information and prayed, knowing it was late in the day to find a family before nightfall. She typed out an urgent email to our network of approved host families:
"A mother needs care for her two kids starting today ASAP because they have nowhere to stay tonight. Her son is 3 and her daughter is 6 months old. They are currently in Brooklyn Center."
Within minutes, eight approved host families responded to the need. Other volunteers offered car seats and support. In a matter of two hours, the children were warm and safe in the home of a host family and mom was able to find shelter for herself.

With each order, Six Notes will be donating back to Together For Good. Most of the need in providing for these families is in grocery, gas, or diapers. Basically anything to release the financial burden on these at risk families. We are excited to see God’s leading in how we give back to these families.
