My goal is to write more, God's challenging me to write more. But I am not going to lie... I freak out every time I push the publish button. I have a past. A past full of sin. Who am I to write my thoughts on scripture, my word's of encouragement for the believers, for those seeking.
Then I heard my pastor explain Ephesians 2:10 in a different light than what I knew and it gave me great encouragement.
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. - Ephesians 2:10
The masterpiece is the new creation in us. The born again version. The new life we have in Christ as forgiven, redeemed believers. We no longer are dead in sin but alive in Him. This is the masterpiece. And this new life we have in Christ will allow us to do the good he has planned for us.
So my sinful past is washed a way. Wiped clean because of what Christ did on the cross. He conquered sin, so we have life. So in this new life, this life in Him, where my past no longer matters, if He is calling me to write...
... I'll keep pressing the publish button.
(even if I do so reluctantly)
