strawberry Isaiah 61 - tee
One of the biggest trends this spring is Strawberries and we are here for it. Strawberries remind us of summer and we are ready for the sunshine days. BUT this tee is designed for so much more.
Designed with “as a garden causes a seed to grow, so praise will spring up.”
Based off the verse Isaiah 61:11 - “For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.”
Isaiah 61 is written at a time where God’s people are a conquered nation full of grief and mourning, yet there was a small group of people at that time that never lost hope of the promises of God. This letter was written to encourage that group of people to stay steadfast and hold onto the blessing God has given His people.
The chapter brings us a vision of a new garden, a restored world, a year of the Lord’s favor; a land full of abundance and right relationships between people. The Messiah will bring about seven acts of new creation from proclaiming liberty to the captives, comforting the broken hearted, to a day of vengeance. (dive deeper with the Bible Project)
Then verse 11 offers a beautiful imagery for us bringing this passage to life. As a seed bursts through with spring flowers and new growth so will the annointed one bring new life into the world sprouting righteousness and renewed relationships putting praise on display among all the nations.
These prophetic words still ring true for us today as we await the second coming of Christ. While we rest in the annointed one who came to bring justice, peace, love, comfort and freedom, we still wait for a greater time yet to come when new life sprouts in the coming Garden, the new and perfect Eden. Oh the praise and majesty that will be on display. Amen.
