We love thinking about this time in history. History. It’s not just a story. A tale. It’s history. God rescuing His people out of 400 years of slavery. Proving His power above all other Egyptian gods and guiding them to the promise land. Guiding, providing, protecting, and physically manifesting Himself as a visible evidence to his weary and frightened followers.
God in His mercy and power assured the Israelites by going before them in His glory as a pillar of fire lighting their way and a great cloud shielding the sunny days.
God was their constant during their exodus, always leading, always present. Just as He still is today for us but instead of a theophany He dwells as the Holy Spirit within our souls wanting to protect, guide and reassure us.
Our prayer as you wear this sweatshirt is that you are reminded of the Great Exodus, of a loving God guiding His people, but more so that the living God within your souls is waiting to reveal His glory in your life.
