“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” - 1 Peter 5:8-9

The devil is roaming around this earth with the goal to devour you. Not just nibble for a snack, but to devour and destroy. But we serve a God who is more powerful and will stand against him. He is the key to resisting the devil. In this passage, Peter is shepherding his people during a time of great suffering. His people are weak and helpless, prone to attack. Peter gives them the key to resisting temptation and evil and that is to run to the Lord. When we run to the Lord we stand in the authority of the cross. We resist by standing firm in our faith. We resist by standing against the devils persuation and we resist with prayer and living in God’s word.

As you wear this tee be reminded that the devil is on the loose but with power of the Lord you can resist his lure and persuation and send him running because you live in the authority of God.
