Stump of Jesse Prophecy - Meaning

Right before this verse, Isaiah tells about how the mighty will fall. The mighty cedar trees of Lebanon will be cut down which represents the Lord humbling the proud among Judah – His chosen people. All that will be left of the forest will be stumps.

Some of the deepest moments of my faith journey has been picking up a good read and letting the charcters inspire me. Christian Fiction or better yet Biblical fiction has a way of opening up our mind into what life MAY have been like back then.
