There are many ways to connect with the Lord, get creative! God doesn’t care HOW you do it; He just desires you.
Lent: In The Desert
The Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years.
In their wandering, they became so focused on themselves and their circumstances,
they forgot that God was with them.
God’s chosen people forgot who they were and they forgot who God was.
Though the Israelites wandering would eventually lead them to their freedom,
there was purpose in the desert that went beyond their destination.
Lent: Reflect and Remember
Throughout the Old and New Testament, we see God calling his people to remember. Feasts and festivals were held. Altars and monuments were built.
Signs, symbols, and traditions and practices were put into place as remembrances.
Remembering wasn’t a casual suggestion that God threw out. It was a command.
God knew how easy it would be for his people to forget.
He knew how important it would be for them to remember who he was,
and who they were as his people.
Christian coffee shop: playlist
If I could open a Christian coffee shop and fill it with friends, family, and pleasant strangers and the aroma of coffee, I would. In a heart beat. There is just something about the atmosphere that welcomes life to slow down. Then add some great music and powerful lyrics and life is good. We pray you can enjoy this playlist throughout your morning and day and take a moment to slow down and take in all the blessings God has bestowed upon us.
Humble Quote: What Humility Means
I love the notes I read on this passage...
Bowing in humility before the Lord means recognizing our worth comes from God alone. To be humble means leaning on his power and his guidance, and not going our own independent way. Although we do not deserve God's favor, he wants to lift us up and give us worth and dignity, despite our human shortcomings.
Who is the I Am
I sat one morning just thinking about who God really is. And how completely complexed He truly is. There is a reason that I AM is used to describe Him because nothing on earth can truly grasp His greatness and wonder

When life is a little dry and mundance, when we need a little inner motivation, when we just need something to pull us out of this rutt… prayer this prayer and rest in His goodness.
